| This will be the opening gambit for the club’s information center about “What’s Happenin Mon” in the club each month. Please bear with me, as my oxygen starved brain struggles to put this together. They tell me I suffer from CRS (can’t remember shit). So, please be patient with an old man who is ready for the critical care list. I will attempt to inform and hopefully, entertain you.
Saturday the fourteenth we had the club get together at the Sands Cut sandbar. Attending were many of the club members, a lot of dogs, (animals that is) kids having fun, and a tall leggy blond, who entertained us by just sitting there. There was a rain shower and threatening clouds that scared off half the boats from the beach, but a couple of Santeria’s showed up, smoked some poke, chanted some unintelligible hoodoo and voodoo and all we got was a light shower that washed off the saltwater and made it a nice day.
Joe Fernandez brought this little BBQ grill and miraculously managed to feed some great tasty chicken to the entire neighborhood. Traveling with Joe I found that he has two great kids, one a great young diver and the other a comedian, who gets seasick EVERY TIME HE GOES OUT. Now that takes some Cohones.
Mike Schmidt’s boat the YAYOYA, won the biggest fish contest while Joe Fernandez’s boat won the prize for aggregate weight, Mangroves and Hogs.
My old friend and World Team Coach, Pepin Fernandez, entertained us at the monthly meeting at Scotty’s. He is a great choice for the team.
The more time I spend with this club, the more I realize how much fun it is to be a part of It.
